La Belle Epoque was a period characterized by optimism, peace, and in Europe, new technology and scientific discoveries. The peace and prosperity in Paris allowed the arts to flourish, and many masterpieces of literature, music, theater, and visual art gained recognition. The Belle Époque was named, in retrospect, when it began to be considered a “golden age” in contrast to the horrors of World War I.
Love was flourishing that year in Paris and everyone knew that this would lead to conflicts. As the year unravels so do everyone’s secrets, how will the citizens of the city of love react once they find out that nothing is what they thought it was? It is up to you to decide.From the Bohemians to the Beggars, or the Aristocrats to the Middle Class citizens, Paris was a city with secrets. Just how long will it take for its giant web of lies to unravel itself? You’ll have to wait and see.
